Claudia holds a degree in Business Administration HF and has completed several internal bank training workshops in Wealth Management.

Otto Angst is a partner at Sound Capital and used to be a long-standing member of the Board of Directors. Daniel Baumann

He earned a master’s degree in Sociology, Economics and International Law from the University of Zurich.
Martin Beusch has been an asset manager at Sound Capital since 2014. Prior to this assignment, he worked for 20 years as a client advisor, first at Clariden Leu and later as a Director at Credit Suisse. After his initial work training at Bank Leu, he stayed on to join the foreign exchange desk, holding this responsibility for several years. Martin earned a degree in business administration from Kaderschule Zurich. He later attended the Swiss Banking School, where he also completed an Advanced Executive Program (AEP).

Miroslav Bojic

Miroslav Bojic joined Sound Capital in 2021 and advices together with Thomas Fürbringer clients from Switzerland and Europe. René Bühler

As a co-founder and member of the Executive Board, René Bühler is responsible for the CFO and HR functions (COO until 2022). He started his career with a banking apprenticeship at UBS. He completed his project management training as a federally certified organiser and subsequently worked for 20 years as a senior project manager in banking, technical and business management areas for a private bank. His profile is rounded off by two years of management training at the Institute for Applied Psychology (IAP) in Zurich and a position on the board of trustees of a pension fund.

Christian Brunner

Christian Brunner has been Chairman of the Board of Sound Capital since 2019. He started his career as legal counsel at Bank Leu. In 2001, he became a founding partner and general counsel of the Aquila Group before setting up his own law firm, Brunner & Partner, in 2002.

Georges Fricker started his career in banking over 30 years ago. After holding various management positions at Credit Suisse in Corporate, Institutional and Private Clients, he joined Lombard Odier in 2005 as Executive Vice President for Wealth Management. In 2014, he came to Sound Capital as a partner, with responsibility for Swiss private clients. Two years later, he became Managing Partner. He was also a member of Sound Capital’s Board of Directors from 2020 to 2022. Georges Fricker graduated in law from the University of Zurich, also training in finance in New York in 1989 and at Insead in Fontainebleau in 1999.

Max Frischknecht

Max Frischknecht began his banking career at what was then the Swiss Bank Corporation. After his apprenticeship, he became a ring trader for options trading in Swiss bonds on the stock exchange. He later took on responsibility for trading on electronic trading systems and market making for Swiss Confederation bonds. In 1994, he was a founding shareholder of Rheinfinanz, becoming a partner and CFO in 1995. His area of responsibility was customer business operations. He has served since 2022 as the client advisor at Sound Capital Basel.

Simon Grossenbacher

Thomas Fürbringer

Thomas Fürbringer began his career in finance as a stock trader. After ten years, he followed his calling and became an investment advisor. Dieter Höfert

Dieter Höfert is a portfolio manager at Sound Capital, responsible for large fixed-income mandates. Cecilia Prinz

Markus Rohner

Markus Rohner has been on board since Sound Capital was founded in 2012. Patrick Salvisberg, head of the Basel office, has been a partner at Sound Capital since 2022. Oliver Schmid

As Chief Operating Officer, Oliver Schmid is responsible for all operational matters at Sound Capital Ltd and is a member of the Executive Board. Previously, he was COO of the Swiss offices at one of the world’s leading law firms and worked for two well-known Swiss private banks. Oliver Schmid holds a law degree from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and is admitted to the Swiss Bar. Philipp Schmid has joined Sound Capital AG in July 2023 as Senior Investment Advisor supporting the Team of Christian Sieber in serving a sophisticated, international clientele in managing all aspects of their wealth. Philipp joins from Julius Baer, where he held the role as Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, managing a book of customised, highly complex fixed income mandates for private and institutional clients. Bernhard Süess

Rolf Studer has been a client advisor at Sound Capital since 2022. He worked in the financial sector for over 40 years. He completed his preparation at a major bank and pursued further training in Geneva and England. For 23 years, he looked after institutional and private clients at a renowned Zurich private bank, where his duties included serving on the management board. Carmen Vizner-Weiss has been with Sound Capital since its founding in 2012. Prior to that, she worked at WestLB and later at Clariden Bank as an investment advisor to their clients. After the birth of her twins, she continued her work at Clariden Bank. She completed her banking training at Zurich Cantonal Bank. She has also spent time in Paris, Santiago de Compostela, San Diego and Rio de Janeiro.

Beat von Grünigen has been a client advisor at Sound Capital since December 2022. After successfully completing his studies, he started his career at HSBC Guyerzeller AG and subsequently worked at various renowned private banks. During the last six years Beat von Grünigen worked for Julius Baer in Zurich as Senior Relationship Manager. He holds a master’s degree in Banking and Finance (lic. oec. publ.) from the University of Zurich and has continuously pursued further education throughout his career, in particular to become a Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA).

Sandro Weibel has been working as a client advisor for Sound Capital since September 2022. Prior to that, he worked for many years for various financial institutions, including Thurgauer Kantonalbank and Bank Julius Baer. His focus was always on the bespoke support of national and international private clients. Sandro Weibel is a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA), a member of the Swiss Financial Analyst Association (SFAA) and holds a degree in Banking Economics (HF).

Thorsten-Alexander Weigle is a partner at Sound Capital. He is an advisor, counsellor and family officer to his high net worth clients and their family members. Prior to his partnership at Sound Capital, he held various management responsibilities at Credit Suisse. Before that, he completed a three-year management trainee program at Deutsche Bank in Stuttgart. Thorsten-A. Patric Wiedmer

Patric Wiedmer has been with Sound Capital since its inception. His prior experience includes working for 15 years at Bank Leu/Clariden Leu as a credit specialist. He also completed his banking training at the former Bank Leu, supplemented by professional and language stays in London and Australia. In addition, he continued his education between 2002 and 2005 to become a federal banking specialist and banking expert. In 2015 and 2016, he also completed the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Banking from the Swiss Finance Institute.
Markus Willi has more than 30 years’ expertise in corporate banking, investment banking and asset management. His career in finance is marked by several years of assignments abroad in London, Montreal and New York and various management positions at UBS, Republic National Bank of New York (Suisse) and Clariden Leu. He laid the foundation for this career with his business administration studies at the University of St. Gallen (Master of Arts HSG). In 2006, he completed the International Executive Program (IEP) at INSEAD. Markus Willi has been a partner at Sound Capital since 2017 and became a member of the Board of Directors in 2023.

Kani Yalcin holds a Master of Advanced Studies from the University of Bern and a Master of Science from the University of Rochester, New York.
